PLEASE HELP US RAISE MONEY FOR THE RCAH FOOD RECOVERY PROGRAM
In 2014, 30,000 people in Rockland were classified as “food insecure” by Feeding America. Based on 2016 Census data, approximately 14.4% of Rockland County residents (46,000) live at poverty level, most being food insecure.
To meet this growing need, Rockland County has over 50 food pantries and feeding programs. In December 2017, these agencies provided almost 350,000 meals in a single month! 90% of the people working in these agencies are volunteers. THEY NEED OUR HELP!!
Rockland Community Against Hunger (RCAH) was formed in 2011 as a collaborative of Food Pantries and Feeding Programs in Rockland. As the Coordinator of RCAH, I know first hand how much these agencies do and care about the people they serve.
will pick up healthy recoverable food from supermarkets, farms, farmers' markets and the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley and distribute this to the many Food Pantries and Feeding Programs throughout Rockland County.
We NEED YOUR HELP to raise money for equipment such as hand trucks, rolling carts, bins to store the food, weight belts, a scale, bags, tape, etc.
PLEASE HELP US HELP THOSE IN NEED AND DONATE TODAY!
