Let's take on the challenge to raise the most we've ever done for the 2019 Tough Mudder Challenge.  Our goal?  $25,000!  Create a team of your own, or support directly to this campaign.

What is Sanfilippo Syndrome? IMAGINE ALZHEIMER’S, BUT IN CHILDREN. In a nutshell, that’s what every Sanfilippo child is living with.  [video at CureSFF.org/video]

Children with Sanfilippo are born with a genetic defect passed on from each unknowing parent. This results in their body being unable to break down and recycle natural cellular waste due to a missing enzyme. Because the waste isn’t broken down, toxic material builds up in their brains first, and then their bodies. These kids start their lives normal, but then within a few years, it all begins to be taken away. It is a rapidly degenerative disease. Children will suffer severe dementia and experience seizures. They will need a feeding tube and a wheelchair as they will no longer be able to eat or walk.

Children with Sanfilippo usually pass away in their teens, yet it is preceded by many years of this severe disability. It's an unfair sentence on any child, and devastating to the helpless parents who can only watch as this happens to their little loved one.

Currently there is no approved cure or treatment, but there is HOPE in promising research and paths to clinical trials. This is where Cure Sanfilippo Foundation focuses its efforts to fund research to help reduce the suffering for children with Sanfilippo and give them a chance at LIFE.

THANK YOU for sponsoring and supporting this urgent cause. For more information on the 501c3 nonprofit, Cure Sanfilippo Foundation, please visit www.CureSFF.org
