I’m honored to ride in the Coast 2 Coast 4 Cancer to try and bring more awareness to the V Foundation on the local level and raise as many funds as possible for cancer research.
I’m riding for my dad and the other survivors who have had their lives impacted by cancer. As a Team in Training coach the previous 2 years, I have witnessed some truly amazing people who are determined to NOT let cancer beat them, and also are proactively doing everything in their power to help so others don't suffer like they did.
My dad was diagnosed with cancer in 2010, and luckily he caught it early enough and was able to treat it successfully. His diagnosis opened my eyes to the bigger picture of cancer and the impact it has had on everyone around us. My dad is my inspiration in becoming the best dad, husband and grandpa I can be. I have learned so much from him throughout the years, that one way I feel I can repay him is to help fight cancer so others might not have to. His bout with cancer was the push I needed to take an active step to do all I can to help.
My message to cancer
You had better be ready for the fight of your life. We will not stop until we beat you. So get ready because we are coming!
