Michael Denis Boyle
I pushed my lifelong friend and co-worker, Mike, another C2C4C rider, to put his name in for the ride. As a way to help give him confidence to go for it, I told him I'd train with him, since I did the ride 2 years ago. When it was announced that former riders could participate, I put my name in too, since I had already committed to the training.
I am riding for my mother. 5 years ago she had a melanoma taken off of her arm and 6 months ago, it metastasized to her lung. She is currently being treated and is doing wonderfully. My mom is the most caring and warm-hearted person I have ever met. I have an incredibly close family as a result of my parents instilling good values in their children and providing a loving home for us to be raised in. It's my mom, she means the world to me!
By participating in C2C4C, I'm getting on the road to help raise money for the Jimmy V Foundation so in the future others won't have to see how difficult cancer is on patients and their families. Any effort given to fighting cancer gets us one step closer to finding the cure.
My message to cancer
I hope you took good notes because your days are numbered!
