The West Morris Central Dance Marathon event, is a student run fundraiser, which is set to take place on April 13, 2018, similar to Penn State's THON.
Event Time: 6:00pm-11:00pm
Students at West Morris Central High School (WMC) will dance/stand for 4 consecutive hours in order to give the gift of childhood to children receiving treatment for pediatric cancer.
Why we THON, to raise money, raise awareness and provide emotional support to children and families in order to combat pediatric cancer.
WMC students dance, volunteer, and pledge their time to DM for many reasons, but in the end, it’s all For the Kids (FTK).
WMC participants dance to help raise funds and awareness that goes towards Sarah’s Fight for HOPE Foundation’s mission to support the needs of children with cancer.
West Morris Central High School Dance Marathon is not just another event.
Students will dance as part of teams representing their student organizations in a mutual effort to fundraise.
We THON so no parent has to hear the words “your child has cancer”
We THON to make a difference in a child’s life #FTK
Sarah’s Fight for HOPE Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Long Valley, NJ founded in 2017 in memory of Sarah Crowley, a West Morris Central Student, and to continue her legacy of putting others first. Sarah passed away in April 2017 at the age of 15 from treatment-induced complications of pediatric cancer.
Sarah’s Fight for HOPE Foundation was created to raise awareness and support children battling cancer. This year we will be dancing to help support families and fund research so no other family has to suffer the devastating loss of a child.
Our goal is to continue to support our local pediatric oncology families while also raising awareness and funds for a CURE.
