UNICEF Philippines is an agency of the United Nations devoted to serving local children since 1948. Partner with the government in protecting Filipino children, we aim to provide the best quality of life for every Filipino child through programmes that help them survive and flourish.
We implement programmes covering education, health and nutrition, disaster risk reduction and emergencies, HIV and AIDS prevention, child protection, communication, and local policy and institutional development. Our efforts focus on the most vulnerable region of Visayas Islands. To ensure that interventions are sustainable and scaled up, UNICEF will support primarily local government units (LGUs) as the main instruments of delivering services and building systems.
