Please support our yearly Thanksgiving Food Drive!
We need to provide two hundred low-income families with baskets of assorted foods and turkeys for the Thanksgiving Holiday.
Due to the continuing high rate of underemployment and unemployment in our county, our clients confront dire financial straight and we have lack of sufficient funds to cover the cost of the program. This event serves the poor and working poor of the area, many of whom are Latino immigrants, African Americans, Senior Citizens, and families with children. They will benefit by providing their families, their children Thanksgiving Dinner at home and participating in our nation’s holiday celebration.
Most families and individuals have limited resources and cannot afford to purchase food to celebrate the Thanksgiving Holiday. If you help us, they will!
United Community Center Of Westchester, Inc. provides critical resources that bring health care, education, food, refuge and emergency assistance to help those in need. This one-stop assistance center was established to empower and meet the needs of lower income immigrants and native-born residents in urban settings.
