Whether you’ve heard from me or not recently, I hope this letter finds you well. After graduating from Duquesne in May, I decided to stay in Pittsburgh and join PULSE (Pittsburgh Urban Leadership Service Experience! PULSE is comprised of recent college graduates who perform a year of service at a nonprofit in the city. PULSE aims to make young leaders who want to improve their community whether it benefit their neighborhood or the city as a whole. I am particularly excited about the PULSE program because I really want a career in the nonprofit sector and I think it will be really cool to live with other young, like-minded individuals. I also think the program will enable me to become one of our city’s next future leaders.
Part of my first task as a PULSE participant is to assemble a team of people who will support me in this work. I realize that I can’t do this work alone, that I need others to come alongside me and partner with me.
Would you please consider supporting me in this work? I am in the process of raising a minimum of $2500 to cover expenses for this year of service and leadership. Your support will help impact the lives of Pittsburgh’s most vulnerable.
Please fill out the enclosed reply envelope and return it to PULSE, regardless of ability/interest to give financially. You can also give online at www.pulsepittsburgh.org/support. Thank you for your continued investment in my life and in the life of PULSE.
Thanks so much for all of the love and support over the years, I hope to hear from you soon!
