This initiative is in aid of establishing a Vocational Training Center to support survivors of Gender
Based Violence and human trafficking in our society and specifically in Naivasha Nakuru
County Kenya. Since 2004, Life Bloom Services has received, rescued, counseled, and offered life skills
training to over 1161 women and girls. We have also offered services to more than 313 children and girls survivors of Sexual Based Violence and local human trafficking in the last 3 years. Life Bloom sees a world where women, girls and children who have experienced abuse and exploitation transform to become dignified leaders. The most common factor of Gender Based Violence is due to lack of empowerment, poverty, level of illiteracy and lack of employment. One strategy of eradicating and reducing the vulnerability is by establishing a vocational training center whereby the program will transfer marketable skills and follow up support to young entrepreneurs. In order to deliver these services, the specific activities that will be implemented will comprise of:
ESTABLISHMENT OF A VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTER in Nakuru County Kenya so as to reduce on the cost of outsourcing the skills and for the program continuity, sensitization of key stakeholders in communities, identification of the most vulnerable beneficiaries in the communities and prioritization of the vocational skills that they require.
Entrepreneurship training will include basic financial management, budgeting, planning and skills marketing to encourage profitable and self-sustaining income generation. As many beneficiaries are illiterate or have low literacy skills, trainings must be adapted to their skill level.
The vocational training program will include skills development in various fields such as Tailoring, hair dressing, food production; soap making or brick making. The trainees who complete their vocational training courses will receive training in entrepreneurship skills and basic financial skills.
With a contribution of any amount, you will be part of this great initiative of a transformational
Journey to the survivors of Gender Based Violence and sexual exploitation.
