On April 15, 2019, I will be participating in the 123rd Boston Marathon. This will be my third marathon, following Rehoboth Seashore Marathon in 2012 and the NYC marathon in 2014.
My family and I recently relocated from NYC to Wellesley, MA. When I found out that Wellesley is the halfway point of the Boston Marathon I knew I had to run for my new city. I thought, what an incredible way to immerse myself into our new community!
What’s more, is that we chose to live in the town of Wellesley in large part due to the reputation of the Wellesley Public Schools, which is why I am thrilled and honored to be running in support of the Wellesley Education Foundation (WEF). For over 30 years, WEF has underwritten grants to educators to further innovation and excellence in Wellesley Public Schools, including funding programs and initiatives to support and/or enhance the curriculum. WEF also funds professional development courses for our teachers because WEF believes in the value of keeping our teachers on the cutting edge of education.
As a mom of two kids, ages 3 and 5, I am so proud to show them what can be achieved with hard work and dedication as well as to instill within them the importance of giving and compassion from an early age. #momstrong #bostonstrong
My goal was to raise $6,000 for the event, but thanks to everyone's generosity I have increased my goal to $8,000!
Thank you so much for all of your support!
