Please consider donating to a very worthy cause and a very worthy organization. My family has a long history of involvement with the Cleveland Sight Center as both my grandmother and father suffer from a rare genetic eye condition, retinitis pigmentosa. This disease slowly robs individuals of their sight and often of their independence. The white cane is symbolic of an individual who is visually impaired and is used as a tool for visually impaired individuals so that they are more able to independently navigate their environment. Sadly, much of the general public is not aware that a white cane signifies visual impairment. The White Cane Walk increases awareness of of white cane laws while also raising money for the Cleveland Sight Center, an organization that educates, emloys, and empowers those who are blind to achieve independence. Thank you in advance for your support and your donation!
