Established in 1998, Willowind Therapeutic Riding Center has served hundreds of people in our community. Its mission: to help those challenged by physical and mental disabilities while bringing our rural heritage into the present.
Typical people who have found success at Willowind Therapeutic Riding Center include children and adults with challenges such as cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, Down Syndrome, mental retardation, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, depression, brain injury, anorexia, blindness, speech delays, motor delays, and the after-effects of stroke. Other clients, such as teens at risk, come to Willowind simply seeking joy, comfort, and confidence. For all these people and more, Willowind uniquely serves the community.
