North Beach Adventure Following last year’s walk across the Golden Gate Bridge, we’ll continue our theme of exploring the treasures of the Bay Area – this time focusing on San Francisco’s celebrated Telegraph Hill/North Beach neighborhoods. Starting out from our own office at Mission and 2nd, we’ll head towards the famed Coit Tower with its unparalleled views of the city and 1930’s era WPA murals and wind our way eventually to Washington Square Park. On our way down to the park, we’ll seek out the Parrots of Telegraph Hill and the Filbert Steps (all 400 of them), which wind through some of the City’s most spectacular (and heavily sloped) backyard gardens. Tickets to access the top of Coit Tower will be provided. The walk is estimated at approximately 3.5 miles round trip to/from the office, not accounting for the vertical climb to (and up) Coit Tower. Those less comfortable with the uphill portion can coordinate to meet us mid-way at the tower itself.
