The children in DDI’s educational programs are more vulnerable than most, many living with severe autism or other developmental disabilities.
For the added safety of our children, DDI wants to improve its ability to “lockdown” our school buildings against any intruders. Enhanced door locking hardware will safeguard our classrooms and common areas.
DDI looks to replace the existing hardware on 200 doors in our school buildings. New, more effective hardware will cost $265 per unit. In addition, 60 classroom doors must be replaced, to accommodate the new hardware. The total cost of the hardware, doors and labor will be $107,900.
We need your help to raise these funds within the next three months.
