Antoine Craig, who is a visually impaired athlete, is training with his guide runner, Freddy Derenthal, in order to compete in the Desert Challenge Games in Phoenix, Arizona held May 10th to May 14th. Antoine and Freddy have been training together for several months in short-distance sprinting events such as the 100 meter, 200 meter, and 400 meter sprint. The Desert Challenge Games is only the first stop on the long road that encompasses our long term goal of competing in the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo, Japan. In order to achieve our goal of competing in the Desert Challenge Games in May, we have a short-term goal of $3000 for the trip costs and the fees associated with the competition registration. Any and all donations past our current goal of $3000 will be applied within Sportable to further enable the athletes of Sportable to train and compete in events such as these, and, optimistically, may someday help in funding the trip to Tokyo for Antoine and Freddy. We seriously appreciate all donations and efforts to spread the word about this cause. All that we are trying to do is take a dream, and make it a reality. You can help us achieve this goal.
