On September 8th, Hurricane Irma made landfall in Cuba as a category 5 storm, the largest storm to hit Cuba over the last 85 years. Join us to help the Cuban people rebuild their communities.
I'm partnering with Cuba One and El Cochinito LA on a mission trip to the island. Myself and three of my Cuban peers will spend five days in Cuba around the areas most in need of cleanup and rebuilding. We'll have boots on the ground working alongside the Cuban people in true Cuban fashion #resolvemos. Please help us beat this storm and build a brighter future for the island.
Here are all the details:
- October 12-17
- We’ll rent rooms with my immediate family in Havana and in Casa Particulares in the country where we’ll be directly supporting the Cuban people and getting to know and help our Cuban hosts.
- Each of us will be covering our own costs: roundtrip airfare to Cuba, People-to-People visa, mandatory health insurance, one checked bag of hurricane relief supplies, and accommodation in a casa particular.
- In addition to helping once we’re on the ground, we’ll be bringing supplies. Each participant will bring a checked bag with supplies to distribute during the trip from this list of critical items needed most:
- ALL DONATIONS WILL GO DIRECTLY IN THE HANDS OF THE CUBAN PEOPLE!!
