Well believe it or not I am doing a half marathon. Since I joined Love Runs I have been filled with doubt and apprehension about whether I can do this physically, commit to all the training time, and keep the mental and spiritual focus I need to persevere. Any of you that know me well, know clearly that I am not runner. I exercise routinelly but running was never something I participated in or enjoyed. I recall way back in high school when I played soccer I would cheat out of all the laps because I simply disliked the running. But I am running. I am running because I can, I have the freedom to run. Those who are enslaved in human trafficking do not have the freedom to simply run. So I am running for them. I am confident that God will continue to strengthen me both physically and spiritually to run this race. Any support you can provide will also encourage me along the way but most of all provide hope to those enslaved in human trafficking. Thank you so much!

1440. The number of minutes in every day that a human trafficking victim is enslaved, and the same number of minutes we are free. What will you do with it? Join us in the fight to end human trafficking in Metro Detroit.
