The Myrtle Beach World Amateur is in its 34th year as the world's largest golf tournament, and has annually attracted players from all over the globe. One of the largest contingents of players continues to be from southeast Texas. With close to 50 players competing this year from the areas around Houston that have been devastated by the impacts of Hurricane Harvey, we want to support them by raising money through the American Red Cross to help families in need.
Unfortunately, Hurricane Irma has since delivered a crippling blow to Florida and Hurricane Maria did catastrophic damage to Puerto Rico. If you have the financial means to assist and are moved to do so, the World Am has set up a relief fund through the Red Cross to help families in need.
As a coastal destination, we understand the long-lasting effects of hurricanes and flooding. Our hearts are broken for the people whose lives are now turned upside down by this tragic event. Please consider donating as part of the World Am family, to help the process of healing and rebuilding. Thank you.
