Recently, we suffered a tragic loss. My brother Donnie passed away Monday, July 3rd, 2017. He had a severe case of cerebral palsy and only had a life expectancy of 3 years. We were blessed to have him. We were one of the luckiest families alive to have him around for 32 years, three weeks shy of his 33rd birthday! He defied so many odds and doctors could not explain how he was still here. He was such a happy man. Always had a smile on his face, even on the worst of days. He could brighten anyone's day just by being in the same room. No matter what was going on in someones life, hearing him belly laugh, or even a simple sigh made someone enjoy his presence that much more. He responded to bright colors and always had something around him that would glow, or shine bright on his walls to where he would gaze up and smile away. Donnie may have not been able to walk, or do the simple things in life that most of us take for granted, but he sure lived a full life and we would love to pass that onto another cerebral palsy child or family in need. Donnie always had a way to brighten a strangers day and seeing a child whom we do not know be able to do the same thing is such a great honor not only to our family but to Donnie as well. It's a way for us to remember him and appreciate and thank him for every single thing he did for us. This would be our way of mourning his loss and celebrating his life. Please help us do this for another family in need and make their stress as little as possible so they can cherish each and every second they have with them! Thank you for reading our story and reaching out with your contribution. It's greatly appreciated.
