Help the DRC get a VAN!
We need a van to provide transportation to our location. Grassroots Day Resource Center (DRC) has been presented with an amazing opportunity... Outreach members from Christ Episcopal Church have offered us a matching grant of up to $10,000 for the purchase of a used mini-van to help address our transportation needs. We are need your help to raise an additional $10,000 so that we can take advantage of the generous offer.
The DRC is a place where every person regardless of their circumstances in life can receive services with dignity and caring.
The DRC operates on a shoestring budget with just three part-time staff and over 150 committed volunteers. This month, the DRC moved from a broken down building on Rt. 1 to an amazing and beautiful space on Guilford Road in Jessup. The Howard County Housing Commission and Howard County Government were generous in giving us a new home. Our new space comes with some unique challenges. There is limited parking and the bus route is in development. To reach us, people have to walk on the road (no sidewalk, yet) which is dangerous. To ensure the people needing services will not find it difficult to reach our door, we need your help!
Your contribution, big or small, will be doubled to help us meet this goal! Please help us with this challenge by sharing this post with your friends and family!
Every dollar helps us reach our goal!
