BENEFITING: CHICAGO ROWING FOUNDATION
EVENT DATE: Oct 12, 2014
The mission at Chicago Rowing Foundation (CRF) is to make rowing accessible to every Chicagogan, regardless of their economic, physical, or demographic conditions.
CRF Oar Runners make their debut by running 26.2 miles at the 2014 Bank of America Chicago Marathon in an effort to make an impact on two very important programs at CRF- our financial assistance fund and our adaptive rowing programs, Pauly's Pals and accessROW.
Fundraising efforts will be used to increase our financial assistance program, enabling more Chicago-youth the ability to row, which can increase their chances of getting an athletic scholarship for college. Additionally, funds will be used to support our adaptive programs with equipment purchases and staff resources.
