Did You Know:
According to a recent study, 52% of community college students lack food security, and a full 22% reported limiting or skipping meals because they couldn’t afford to eat.*
When students are hungry, it’s more difficult for them to concentrate in class. When students can’t afford food, they work longer hours and study less to earn more money. These challenges are real, and many of our students face them.
The Ocean County College Foundation is working with the College’s Student Life department to raise money for the “Pay It Forward” program. The purpose of this program is to provide healthy free meals to students on campus who are in need. Various student support departments on campus will have meal cards available for distribution if they learn of a student’s need.
You can make an impact on the lives of students who need it most. No donation is too small – for just $5 you can provide a hot meal to a student who is hungry. Please help make the difference and “Pay It Forward.”
