BENEFITING: Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance, Inc.
EVENT: Spartan Race 2014
EVENT DATE: May 30, 2015
I'm dedicating this race to my late mother-in-law, Dorothy Cohen. Words can't describe what an amazing woman she was. She battled ovarian cancer bravely and left a positive impression on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Not only is this a great cause on her behalf, but having 2 little girls of my own, it makes supporting the OCRF that much more important.
"Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF) is the oldest and largest charity in the United States funding ovarian cancer research. They're mission is to fund scientific research that leads to more effective identification, treatment, and ultimately a cure for ovarian cancer, as well as related educational and support initiatives. Each year there will be approximately 22,0000 new cases of ovarian cancer in the US, and nearly 15,500 women will die of the disease. Currently there is no effective means of early detection."
