Odyssey Orchards is an edible classroom without walls, located on the campus of Odyssey Charter School, where students learn how to care for the earth, grow healthy food, develop hands-on skills, and integrate their learning in a whole-systems context. Odyssey Orchards also functions as an urban-agriculture demonstration site, where members of the larger community can participate in workshops that teach skills and methods in self-sufficiency and sustainable living.
We currently serve a diverse group of K-8 students who learn best by doing. In order to keep our program sustainable, we have a annual operating budget of $20,000. This fundraiser will help us reach our goal, and keep edible education alive and well at Odyssey Charter School.
