Team RWB Carbondale is raising money for the Old Glory Coast to Coast Relay. We are running Day 44 which is from Chester IL to Marion IL and is approximately 65 miles.
On October 24th, Team RWB-Carbondale will be participating in the Old Glory Coast to Coast Relay. Team RWB is a group of individuals--active duty, veterans, and civilians--whose mission is to enrich the lives of America’s veterans by connecting them to their community through physical and social activity.
The Old Glory Coast to Coast Relay is an Olympic torch style relay of approximately 3,800 miles from the VA hospital in San Francisco to Bethesda Naval Hospital in suburban Washington, DC. We will be carrying an American flag the entire distance over the course of sixty days beginning September 11 and ending November 11, 2014. The flag will be carried from each day's starting point to a point approximately 65 miles east as depicted under The Course. Our goal is to raise awareness of and funds for our veterans through Team RWB. The event website is here --> http://teamrwb.org/get-involved/events/event-listings/old-glory-coast-to-coast-relay
Each team in the relay has $1,000 fund-raising goal. Team RWB-Carbondale will be picking up the flag from Chester, IL to Marion, IL. I'm proud to be running about 6 miles of this relay. Anything you'd like to donate will be greatly appreciated.
