OHIO Campus Orgs
Team Member: Exercise Physiology Club
EVENT DATE Apr 22, 2017
The Ohio University Exercise Physiology Club is a student led organization focusing on the education and professional development of Exercise Physiology Majors. The club organizes professional speakers and engages in community service and professional development to help lead students to success. Additionally, the members of the club focus on promoting health and wellness to benefit Ohio University and the Athens community. Each fall, the American College of Sports Medicine midwestern chapter holds an annual conference that provides opportunities for Exercise Physiology students in the six midwestern states to collaborate and network over the course of a weekend. Researchers and doctors of Exercise Science provide seminars for students to learn about current research in the exercise field. For each opportunity for our club members, such as funding to attend the MWACSM conference, we give back to the Athens community also. Our club truly loves being involved with various fundraisers and events in the community such as Bare on the Bricks, Special Olympics, a Couch to 5K training program, and many others. We look forward in continued growth and opportunity for our club in the years to come. We are so excited to be a part of Race for a Reason 2017! We are so gracious for any support you can provide us; thank you in advance!
