OLIVE CREST wrote -In 1973, Dr. Donald and Lois Verleur took in four teenage girls, and opened their first home for children in Orange County, California. Drawing from the olive tree in the front yard and the idea of a family crest--Olive Crest--a name symbolizing "peaceful family" was born. Over the years, Olive Crest has become a leading organization for adoption, preventing child abuse and advocating for at risk children and families. Our mission is creating strong families and keeping kids safe…“One Life at a Time.”®” Since its inception, Olive Crest has transformed the lives of over 70,000 abused, neglected, and at-risk children and their families.
