We are pleased to announce that Poetry Pals is now a program of the Olive Tree Arts Network, our recently-formed nonprofit organization. We are a growing, vibrant organization full of passionate people who faithfully share the belief that our mission of promoting cooperation, understanding and peace in our multifaith society will help build a world where everyone feels safe and welcomed. Through creative expression, we give children from different faith backgrounds the opportunity to get to know one another in a welcoming and fun environment. We have always been a highly motivated, powerfully passionate group, and this year, we are even more dedicated to our work and reaching as many people as possible with our program and message. We need your support to put the full force of our organization to work combatting bigotry and hate. Specifically: • Sponsor a Little Free Library for one of our schools. We will be building a Little Free Library for each of our schools as part of a group project. Each student will be able to contribute to the construction and design. The libraries will be given to the school to be placed within their communities. We need $200 per library for materials, $200 per library for books and book donations (we have a list of titles). • Bolster our scholarship fund for schools who are not able to pay our program expenses. Our need this year is $6,000. This money comes from our operating expenses at the moment. • We have a grant from the Jewish United Federation Breakthrough Fund to launch Level, our middle school program. We are in need of funds to sustain the program beyond launch. • We are currently forming an advisory committee for Level, please contact me if you would like more information on how you can be a part of shaping this new program. • We have been afforded a few opportunistic programs, such as creating programming for a multifaith camp and conducting a workshop for high schoolers. We need funds for these type of opportunities. • As we grow, our operational needs are increasing. We need funds for office supplies, staff salaries, training and meeting expenses. We are grateful for you and for the opportunity we have to fight for what we know is right -- a world where everyone feels safe, welcomed and celebrated. Poetry Pals is a program of the Olive Tree Arts Network, an exempt organization as described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code; EIN 813499678.
