BENEFITING: Sisters of Charity Hospital Foundation, Inc.
EVENT DATE: Sep 17, 2016
As many of you know, our Olivia was born two months premature and was in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Sisters Hospital for 5 weeks. Those 5 weeks in the NICU were extremely challenging and we sincerely believe that if it were not for the doctors, nurses and staff in the NICU, Olivia would not be where she is today. Olivia is now 5 and it is hard to believe that she will be starting Kindergarten this fall! Chris and I will forever be grateful to all of the staff, nurses, and doctors at the NICU and because this is a cause so near and dear to our hearts, we would like to lend as much support to the Hospital as we can. The NICU will soon undergo an $8.8 million relocation and expansion project at the Hospital and we are asking for your help. We realize that you all support other great causes, but any gift amount would be greatly appreciated!
The demand for NICU services in our community has risen steadily over the years. Women in our community are having their babies at an older age, using fertility treatments, and more women struggle with health problems such as maternal obesity and gestational diabetes. The result is a greater number of premature babies, multiple births and children born at a low birth weight. The renovation project aims to expand the NICU and the services it provides to help more babies like our Olivia.
Thank you for your support!!
