BENEFITING: OLMC INC
Deep within the embrace of the Ghana forest lies a village named Asankran Breman, which means “a nation gained by sweat and suffering.” The roads to the village are sparse and scarcely traveled while the people of the village enjoy a life secluded from western desires. The schools are primitive and the medical clinic has not yet been realized. These gentle, Catholic souls are forming the foundations of a shrine to Our Lady of Mount Calvary so that they may imitate the steps of our Lord to His crucifixion and join their sufferings to the cross of our Savior. The supplies for the clinic remain in remote countries while the villagers silently, almost futilely, anticipate medical assistance. The acacia trees whisper their sweet fragrance over these souls that inevitably lie in terminal conditions but suffer in heroic patience. Their prayers echo a persevering hope that spiritual and physical aid will reach their children so that they may enjoy some consolation. If prayer breeds love, and love has the power to heal all things, perhaps our love can be an instrument to assist this village.
