If it wasn't important and really needed, I would not ask!!! I promise
$1 can make a difference
You can make a difference, you can give HOPE!!!
Young adults today are the backbones for each countrie, the working force keeping up the economy, future leaders in all industries, parents of children, caregivers of the elderly and retired, a group with such importance; Hard to imagine this age group is also the one that usually falls through the cracks!!!!!!! Scary but true!!!!
***Breast, Colon, Prostate, "pediatric", etc..... (all are extremely important).........but what about the cancer patient with a "predominately pediatric cancer" in their late teens, 20's, 30's? The ugly truth= Which oncologist do you see? The one that specializes in the disease (Up to date on reasearch trials, treatments, and options) but also specializes in 0-21 yrs of age or the adult oncologist (age appropriate though they are not the disease specialist). This sounds more like a receipe for disaster!!!***
I 2 Y - I'm Too Young For This! Cancer Foundation Inc wrote -70,000 Americans between 15-39 are diagnosed with cancer each year. That's one every eight minutes. This is not OK! The OMG! Cancer Summit is the premiere oncology conference and social networking event for the young adult cancer movement. A program of the I'm Too Young For This! Cancer Foundation, the OMG! Cancer Summit, now in it's 5th year, has become a pivotal healthcare event that inspires thousands of survivors, cargivers and providers—along with scores of academic, advocacy, research and support organizations—to get organized, build community and unite as one to drive change.
