Run for a Reason Across Africa 100 elephants are killed every day. Illegal poaching claims the life of one rhino every 10 hours. At this rate, these iconic species will be gone from the wild within your lifetime. All half marathon runners/walkers are required to fundraise a minimum of $1500. These critical funds for conservation, community development and education programs are providing hope for the future of Africa’s wildlife. Together we can make a difference. Tusk Projects Across Africa Since its formation in 1990, Tusk has raised over £20 ($30) million for a wide range of projects across the continent. Tusk currently supports 57 field projects in 18 African countries that not only work to protect wildlife, but also help to alleviate poverty through sustainable development and education amongst rural communities who live alongside the wildlife.
