BENEFITING: International Body Mind Empowerment Enterprises
EVENT DATE: May 22, 2017
Danny, a 1st grader who moved from Philadelphia and attended Jackson Elementary in Asheville NC, could not focus on learning, would fight peers and teachers, and when upset would try to run away from school or destroy the classroom. He was a child with at least FIVE Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). He had childhood trauma. His teacher had been working in our Teacher Empowerment Coaching program for 6 months and within 6 weeks of Danny arriving in her class, this young boy became a part of the "family" of this classroom. He was treated with respect; he felt accepted for who he was, and probably for the first time in his life, felt safe and calm at school. He is now able to participate and learn and has many friends in the classroom. In any other situation, Danny would have been sent home and given up on and become a unhealthy statistic costing society millions of dollars.
Over half of our young people are struggling with high levels of toxic stress and low levels of resilience. They aren't easily able to handle their emotions and life challenges and don't know how to form healthy relationships, and be themselves with self-confidence.
i.b.mee. through their research and pilot programs has found that the school system needs to provide the following 4 things so that ALL students have the best chance of reaching their full potential and be purposeful, contributing members of society.
1. A healthy and empowering environment (Wellness)
2. A connected, non-judgmental relationship (Empowerment)
3. The recognition of personal positive assets and the development of leadership skills (Leadership)
4. A major focus on skills and activities that support their passions and goals in the moment (Love Learning and live their Legacy)
i.b.mee.'s mission is to Lead the Empowerment Education Revolution by setting the standard and bringing to life W.E.L.L. Students. (Well, Empowered, Leaders, who love to Learn and are living their legacy).
We specialize in coaching teachers in the classroom to empower themselves and their students. We have developed a "personalized learning and resiliency system" called the W.E.L.L. Process™ based in the art and science of coaching that builds W.E.L.L. students. We have the antidote for traumatized children and to PREVENT future damage caused by disconnected, disempowering, and disrespectful relationships and environments.
We need your help to ensure that our innovate, life-changing programs keep going so teachers and students can truly create Empowerment Education learning environments where even the most at-risk students can thrive.
FOR EVERY STUDENT WE KEEP W.E.L.L., we save our society at least $1,000,000 in healthcare, judicial, and productivity loss costs.
Don't hesitate... Please support our ONE for W.E.L.L. Kids® campaign so all students are W.E.L.L. by donating $1, $10, $100, or $1,000 TODAY!!
