One Laptop Per Child Fund
Organized by: father of a bad man
The world is evolving into a more technology based system. Nowadays, it is almost impossible to get complete education without some knowledge about ICT. There are communities in Africa that need resources in order to help promote education of the upcoming generation. In Cameroon in particular, in the little town of Buea, children lack these resources. Science students don't have access to technical equipment such as computers to follow up with their studies. With this in mind, we as a small community have decided to make this fundraising, to help these future leaders with at least one budget laptop, and some networking equipment to be able to access the internet, thus helping them in their studies. Our goal is to reach out to 2500 students in 30 schools in and around Buea town. We as a community have been able to raise $5000, but without your help we can only do as much. Join us in our campaign to make Africa a better place for these young leaders.
