On Sunday, October 9th, 2016, I will embark on a 26.2 mile journey across the city of Chicago to raise valuable funds and awareness for One Savvy Veteran (OSV) - a 501c3 non-profit organization founded by a woman veteran to meet the needs of her fellow woman warriors. OSV will use your critical, heart-felt donations to provide support, advocacy, benefit assistance, and access to veteran-specific information and resources for women veterans in the Chicagoland area and surrounding suburbs. I am personally asking you to please donate towards this both necessary and noble cause to help me reach a donation goal of $5,000 or more.
Our United States Armed Forces today contains over 200,000 women who make up just over 15% of the United States military, but this number is continuing to grow. These women are heroes who face unique struggles and obstacles both during active duty and upon their military retirement - OSV presents a solution to these issues. OSV was created as source of support, assistance, resources and camaraderie for women veterans.
I am determined and committed to making a difference in the lives of these valiant women. I am determine to be part of the solution. I am determine to let these women know that they matter, and that their sacrifices matter. Do not let them stand alone after they have committed their lives to standing up for us. Your kindness and generosity will touch their lives in more ways than we can imagine. Every donation is equally important because every donation represents a salute to all that these women have endured to preserve our freedom.
