The Lord works in mysterious ways!
Recently I was invited to join a group in our church going to Kazakhstan to help a family in need. Almost simultaneously my wife and son received an opportunity to go to India to help with a ministry that serves orphan children. So our family is going on two international service projects this summer! Here are the details:

Kazakhstan: The Essenovs are a very unique Christian family in
Kazakhstan; Derwood Bible Church supports and partners with their pastor. They have a genuine burden for the children of their community who, mostly for
economic reasons, often are abandoned by their parents. Over the years the
Essenovs have adopted over 40 children! Unfortunately a fire damaged several
rooms of their house in 2010; Derwood Bible Church and other churches provided funds at that time for repair and also expansion as they needed more rooms to house all the children. More recently, some of the original walls have had mold problems due to the concrete expanding during the cold winter months. DBC has provided funds for repair and is also now sending a team to assist with the repair efforts. We'll also work with the children while there.

India: Samuel and Sangamithra Kadari serve the Lord in their hometown of Vijayapur, South Lallaguda, India. They have a passion for evangelism, church planting, and community development in some of the poorest, most remote villages. Additionally, they provide care to orphan children. The purpose for this mission is to explore opportunities with the Kadaris to personally support orphans within their ministry.

We are excited by the opportunity to serve in obedience
to the Great Commission by providing encouragement, fellowship, and service to believers in other parts of the world. Here are ways that you can be directly involved and share in the blessing that comes from service to the Kingdom.
1) Pray, not only for safety as we travel, but that
the ministries we visit will be strengthened, and individuals will come to know
the Lord through our sharing of the Gospel.
2) Give. The total cost for the three of us to go
on our respective trips is about $7,000. Obviously we will pay as much we can
personally, and our church is providing a portion. For the remainder, we extend
this invitation to you to partner with us financially through this site.
Acts 20:35 – “In everything I did, I showed you that by
this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord
Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.' “
Thank you for your prayer and support!
