Tomorrow! Tomorrow! I love ya' tomorrow. You're only a day away. Can you believe that my wonderful family and friends have donated nearly $500 for this cause? I sure would love to make to $500. Not too late to help! If you don't want to donate online, send me an inbox message and I can arrange to bring your donation with me in the morning. Thanks to all of you and thanks for encouraging me and listening to my never ending anticipation of this event.
UPDATE! Saturday, August 10th. . .Just one more week until Melanie and I do this! We are so excited. Yesterday we ran (well, the guy we passed told his dog that we were walking, but that is not stopping us--we know we were running, even if it is slow) for 28 minutes without walking. It is a great feeling of accomplishment to go from not being able to run for two minutes to where we are. We are already looking forward to our next race (but don't worry, we aren't going to ask for fundrasining for the next one.
As I've been periodically asking you all to help support this great cause, I've been reading some of the other fundraising pages, especially those from Nancy's family. They have made amazing sacrifices to give their loved one the best care possible in the midst of a disease that sucks. Taking care of loved ones at home is so much better in so many ways. I want to thank all of my family and friends who have donated so far. If you still want to give, it's not too late. You can donate online or you can mail a check or I can deliver it when I go on Saturday.
Thanks again for letting me ramble on and participating with me as I put One Foot in Front of the Other.
PREVIOUS NOTE: As some of my friends and family know, I am working towards a personal goal of running (not walking) a 5k. My friend Melanie and I have made this race our goal. As we were looking for races, this one stood out to me as one that supports a good cause. I don't usually do my walks as fundraisers, but I would like to support this family and this cause. Thanks in advance for your financial support or for any high fives you want to throw my way. . . .Amy

Update: Melanie and I keep putting one foot in front of the other, and everyday, I am suprised and incredibly happy with what we are accomplishing towards our goal. May not seem like a big deal, but today we jogged for 8 minutes, two times, with just one 5 minute rest break. Friday we will jog for 20 minutes without stopping. I don't think I have ever run a mile without stopping, and I will accomplish that on Friday. I appreciate everyone who puts up with my updates and shares my excitement. Thank you!
If you'd like to help me reach my fundraising goal for this family who is dealing with a disability that no one deserves. . .I appreciate that as well. Peace, Amy
