For the past ten years, OKOW has done everything we can to help ensure girls in the Suba District of Kenya have access to education. But one HUGE problem keeps coming up: No access to feminine hygiene products. No feminine hygiene products meant every time a girl gets her period she doesn’t go to school.
This is where we need YOUR help. We want to raise $10,000 so we can purchase 1,000 sustainable and reusable sanitary kits for the students at Nyamasare, Kasawanga & Rusinga Island Girl’s School.
Each kit costs only $10. And they last for THREE YEARS. 10 bucks!! That’s two lattes. That’s less than the cost of a movie ticket. We have partnered with Days for Girls, an amazing organization that makes these sustainable and reusable sanitary supply kits.
These are products the girls aren’t embarrassed to use. These are products that give them power over their own cycles and bodies. These are products keep them in school.
We will distribute the kits when we visit the schools at the end of May. Remember, they are only $10. $10 will help a girl add two months of education to her future. So please donate $10. Or $20. Or even $100. Help us keep our girls in school.
Girls in Kenya are missing up to two months of education per year because they simply don't have access to feminine hygiene products.
It's time to fix that. With your help, we can.
