I am a Khmer Rouge survivor who received a second chance at life as a result of the amazing people of Richmond, Va. Because of my good fortune, I have made it my life's mission to give back. I am building a school in Battambang Cambodia, a very rural and poor community so that these children can also get a second chance at a good life. Only through education can the cycle of poverty, child trafficking and female abuse be broken. It so happens that the school I am building will replace the one where my father actually taught before we had to flee from the Khmer Rouge. The mission of One Hundred Pounds of Hope is to provide these families with food for today, an education for tomorrow and a hope for the future. I am proud to say, the first building of the 4 building school was completed in July. Please help us complete the school. Every penny given to One Hundred Pounds of Hope will go to completing the school.
