My name is Jecica Boyd, I am the Founder/Director of One More Tomorrow Animal Rescue. One More Tomorrow Animal Rescue is based in Pueblo West, CO. We became an "official" State Recognized Non-Profit Corporation in July 2015. We are "new" as far as the paperwork goes, but I have been working with local rescues for the last 8 years or so, and for the last 5 years have been volunteering in the capacity of Placement/Adoption/Transport Coordinator for the La Junta Animal Shelter, a small rural area shelter located in SouthEast Colorado. Over this time I have built strong relationships with several rescues from Grand Junction to Avondale. My family and I recently purchased a 5 acre ranch in Pueblo West which presented me with the opportunity to help the shelter animals in an additional capacity, and One More Tomorrow was born.
Millions of healthy, happy, loving pets are murdered each year for things like space, cost of simple antibiotics to clear a cold, and the biggest one, because they're not cute little puppies anymore. I've been involved with rescue, and it seems to me it should just be simple, One More Tomorrow is all about simple, one of our mottos is, "keep it simple, keep it honest and we'll save lives!" That's what it's all about! But, in order to do that you do need money for things like medicine, vet visits, gas to pick up from shelters, dog food, etc.
In fact, since starting this campain we've taken in three Medical Cases, 2 boys with severe skin infections that require antibiotics, creme's, and a hoast of tests to try and identify the culprit. We also agreed to pull a sweet little girl with cherry eye, unfortunately there were complications during her Cherry Eye/Spay surgery and our little girl is facing emergency surgery today! (Friday 7 August 2015). She's on her way to Aspen View right now to be evaluated by the amazing vets there! All of these things add up and put a huge strain on any rescue, but more so when you're just starting up and don't have that large vet fund cushion. At this point, our "cusion" has been depleted and we're not even done with these sweet pups. Your support allows us to continue supporting the rights of the abandoned animals to live!
I can't thank you enough for your faith in what we are doing and your support!
