I don't believe you should let anything get in the way of living the life you want. That includes a diagnosis of epilepsy. My journey with epilepsy, since the age of 3, has been full of neurologists, sleep studies, medicines, seizures, labs and life adjustments. It's also been full of friends who care, teachers who help, coaches who support and a family that loves. I'm a starting offensive lineman for my high school football team at Westlake High School and I help us advance the ball down the field. But my biggest advances in life have been made off the field overcoming epilepsy. Young people need to know they can live with epilepsy and pursue their dreams and participate in athletics like everyone else. I am an athlete who likes to compete and my journey with epilepsy has made me a better person. Professional athletes in the NFL, Olympians, and triathletes have inspired me to keep competing. Join me "On the Offense" to raise money for The Epilepsy Foundation and The Athletes vs Epilepsy project. http://www.epilepsy.com/make-difference/get-involved/athletes-vs-epilepsy.
Athletes vs Epilepsy is a nationwide program for athletes, coaches, volunteers, and fans. The program seeks to raise awareness, build participation, and help fund the Epilepsy Foundation’s mission. The initiative brings epilepsy and seizure awareness to different sports through participation by athletes of all ages and skill levels, as well as their supportive friends, family, and fans. Athletic events provide a prime opportunity to bring together like-minded individuals who are passionate about a sport or team. Their passion and energy is directed toward a common goal: to overcome a challenge, to surpass an obstacle, and to win. YOUR DONATION WILL GO DIRECTLY TO THE EPILEPSY FOUNDATION FOR RESEARCH AND AWARENESS. THANK YOU!
