Open Mind Microfinance: Fighting Epilepsy in Tanzania

In Mahenge, Tanzania, people with epilepsy are known as "maskini" or "useless." Open Mind Microfinance was founded with a Davis Foundation grant and continues to provides start-up resources for people with epilepsy to fight stereotypes by obtaining work and education. Currently, we are raising money to train two carpenters and two tailors with epilepsy as well as to continue our scholarship program.
