BENEFITING: ALL WAYS UP FOUNDATION
Operation Jump Start (OJS) is a Long Beach based non-profit educational organization that helps low-resourced, high-potential first generation students get in, stay in, and graduate from a four-year college. We do this by providing academic support, mentoring, and exposure to a broader world.
Since 1994, OJS has provided the comprehensive resources and mentoring needed to enable youth in underserved communities to reach their full potential through a college education. Our organization has an established and successful track record of success in providing access to higher education for low-income students of color – a demographic group significantly underrepresented on four-year college campuses locally, throughout California, and across our nation. OJS serves between 250-350 youth annually – all Long Beach Unified School District (LBUSD) students, ranging from 13 to 23 years old.
We are honored to receive the Bridging Gap Award from the All Ways Up Foundation this year. Help us reach our $10,000 from today until December 31st. All donations go directly to future programming.

About ALL WAYS UP FOUNDATION -
In 2012, the ALL WAYS UP Foundation launched the Bridging the Gap Awards (BGA), a grant program that assists smaller sized charitable organizations that exemplify ALL WAYS UP’s mission to bridge the gap between an individual’s ambition and his/her opportunity to achieve. Working together with these organizations, ALL WAYS UP expanded its giving programs to include educational scholarships and and an annual leadership summit for low-income youth entering their first year of college. To date, through the BGAs and other initiatives, the Foundation has funded more than 40 community partners and over 200 education scholarships.
ALL WAYS UP thoroughly researches each organization to ensure that their methods are not only innovative, but offer sound and effective ways to solve low-income community problems. We help these organizations grow and thrive by bridging the funding gaps that exist while trying to build their organizational capacity. Recipients are awarded one-time grants to further their mission, and the six organizations participating in this fundraising campaign will be awarded matching donations.
