"We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give." - Winston Churchill In July 2016, Jeff Beck traveled to St. Helene’s children’s home 5800 feet up in the mountains of Haiti to look at a previous project he was working on, while there he was inspired by a group of 10 men installing lighting protection on most of the buildings. He thought to himself, with the encouragement of his travel partner 15 year old Madison Beck that they could do a project here. They found that the beautiful facility that started 30 years ago and has produced successful children that have gone on to do wonderful things and Haiti is in desperate need of mechanical repairs. They decided to start a project with the girls homes that didn't have water. They gathered information took measurements and made drawings. It was exciting! They had a project! Now they needed to spread the word, people would certainly want to be a part of such a worthy project. Easier said than done. Up until just recently he has struggled to find the momentum needed to move this project along. On January 5th by what he believed was divine intervention, Bob Cooney sends him a text "what is shaping up in Haiti...?" They were off and running! Bob is like a moving train. Jump on board because he is going places. He was the shot-in-the-arm this project needed. With a generous commitment from Al Chadwick to support them with installers the only thing missing is the material. This is where you come in. Yes you, reading this. This project needs you. Be a part of something that will make a REAL difference to the lives of many disadvantaged children who live in the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. St. Helene’s is home to more than 400 children. They depend on the facility for food, housing, and education. With your support this project will move forward.
