Your Fundraiser

Here's How It Works

Step 1

Start a
Fundraiser

When you click START A FUNDRAISER, you'll get your own personal fundraising page that you can use to collect donations from your friends and family. Make sure to add photos, text and even a video to show why this means so much to you.

Step 2

Ask everyone
to give

When your fundraising page is ready to go, reach out to your friends and family and ask them to give. Email works best but definitely share a link over social media too. Remember- the more personal the ask, the better.

Step 3

See Your
Impact

Watch your impact grow when you ask people to give. One gift here, one gift there, it all adds up to make an incredible difference.

Our Mission

Operation Coach Program
A groundbreaking program from Up2Us Sports that hires and trains returning military veterans to coach youth sports and inspire kids to stay in school, say no to violence, and make better life choices. Operation Coach provides returning veterans with a meaningful experience to help them in their transition to civilian life and support their path toward a future career, while offering a chance to serve as everyday heroes to at-risk youth across the country.

Up2Us Sports Mission
To advance sports as a solution to the critical challenges facing our nation’s youth.

Meet one of our Coaches:

KLEITON ALMEIDA,
2015 COACH OF THE YEAR

Kleiton Almeida was born and raised in Brazil and moved with his family to Miami as a teenager. An avid soccer player, he dreamed of one day becoming a coach. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy to challenge himself as well as gain the opportunity to earn a college education. Upon returning from multiple overseas deployments, Kleiton enrolled at Florida International University. He graduated with a B.S. in Physical Education and shortly after, was hired as part of the first cohort of veteran coaches through Up2Us Sports’ Operation Coach initiative. Kleiton was placed as a P.E. teacher at a local elementary school, which services six local homeless shelters. After completing his term with Operation Coach, Kleiton was hired as a full-time P.E. teacher. He is living his dream by continuing to use the strengths the Navy instilled in him and the skills he learned in Coach Across America to improve the lives of at-risk youth in Miami. When asked what this experience meant to him, Kleiton shared that “it meant a lot and I learned so much. I received a head start with my career in what I planned to do when I left the military, which is to work with kids in need of mentorship and a role model. Serving as part of Operation Coach put me in that position."
