My name is Patrick. I am 29, married with two children. This fundraiser is to help my family put food on our table, keep the roof over our heads, and pay any residual medical bills that may be left over. I currently owe over $9,000 towards procedures, and I am not sure whether or not insurance will cover any of the future ones
Im sure some of you have seen this post in some form or another, as I am using every available channel to broadcast the message. If you don't like it, just ignore it. If youre skeptical, ask questions and I will answer them. I fell at my job, landing on my tailbone and then had to lift a 500 lb pallet a foot off the truck, injuring my back. At this time I have no idea when I will be able to return to work. Since my injury, my wife has been working twelve hour shifts, six days a week. It still isn't coming close to closing the hole that my normal working income provides. I am severely disabled. My spine specialist says I need a fusion at two levels of my spine, with the possibility of a third. I am currently treating my condition with physical therapy until I am able to have surgery, while trying to keep my family housed and fed. This is more than just a routine where I need to, "Tighten my belt," and, "Cut costs,"(as several not so wonderful people, on a site I shared my charity with, stated in words far less eloquently. In fact they were much more virulent, going so far as to falsely report my charity, getting it temporarily disabled. This stopped who knows how many people from donating to help my family) we've already cut every cost we can. I have been out of work for 3 months. Our savings account is non-existent. I'm trying to feed my two children, and keep a roof over our heads. Workers compensation's false grading (paying me 50% vs the legally required 66%) has made my income $1700 less per month than I was making. My wife has been taking extra shifts at her hospital, working a 12 hour shift, with a three hour round trip included. Not only do I not wish to apply for state aid, welfare or unemployment, I CANNOT as it would interfere with the benefits I am currently receiving. It could cost me both wage compensation and medical care, along with leaving me open to lawsuits and even CHARGES for fraud. If you don't mind, please post this on your social network page, and ask people to share it. Even if only one in 15 people that see this decide to donate, no matter how small, if everyone that sees it shares, I will be able to keep my family housed and fed, until I am recuperated and able to return to work. I will then pay this forward by helping people I am able to that are in need. I am a voluntarist and do everything I can not to go to the state for help. I instead turn to my fellow men and women, as they are far more giving and reliable than the government. No donation is too small. No amount of help is too little.

Thank you for taking the time to read, and thank you so much for donations. My family appreciate all the help we get, and will pay it forward once I am capable of earning an income again.
