THE STORY:

We are the O'Neal family from Ada, OK. We always knew we would adopt one day and after our youngest son, Jalen, was born in 2008 and we saw how precious he was to us and how much we loved him we couldn't neglect the fact that there were millions more children out there who were just as precious but didn't have a family to love them. We decided our next children would come to us through adoption. We started our first adoption journey in 2010 as we prayed for a child from Ethiopia and in 2012 we were blessed to adopt a 7 year old boy named Fetinet. Less than a year after bringing Fetinet into our family we announced the news that we were adopting again, still from Ethiopia but this time as requested by our boys, for a younger sister or sisters. We don't know who our daughter is right now but we are praying for her and our boys are so excited to return to Ethiopia and bring her home! You can follow us on our blog at: www.expecting-from-ethiopia.blogspot.com

Our family is also one of the founders of It's A Child's Life Foundation, a non-profit organization that in response to God's calling, was created to improve the lives of children with our core areas being Adopt. Foster. Mentor. Support. We host our annual Orphan Love Mud Run to raise money for other adopting families from all over and work to support areas in our community as well. You can check out what we do at our website: http://www.itsachildslife.org

This is our 3rd half marathon fundraiser since 2011 and we are so thankful for everyone running on our team, supporting us and praying for us as we run to bring our daughter home!
