Operation Love the Children of Haiti Education Fund
Organized by: Caite Wolak
EVENT DATE Oct 18, 2014
Just as you or your friends, family, or children have been preparing the past few weeks to go back to school, 65 children in Leogane, Haiti are doing the very same.
One of the Temple University Department of Public Health’s former students and alumni is the acting director of an orphanage run by Operation Love the Children of Haiti. She is asking for our help!
The education system in Haiti is made up of all private schools. Students did very well at “College Frere La Rochfoucauld,” last year and we are looking forward to an exciting and productive school year ahead. CFLA maintains the highest standards in Leogane and has an excellent staff and facility very near their home.
The cost of sending a child to school at “CFLA” is $225 for the entire school year. This includes tuition, books, uniform, a backpack with school supplies, and tutoring classes each afternoon to keep our students on top of their studies and doing their very best. We believe a strong education is essential for their future success.
Currently only 20 of the 65 students have been sponsored for this school year. Please help Operation Love the Children of Haiti by donating to help fund the education of one of these 65 children. No donation is too small.
