BENEFITING: ORANGE COUNTY SAFE HOMES PROJECT INC

We, at Safe Homes of Orange County, are grateful and honored to participate in the Allstate Purple Purse Challenge. Since 1986, when our organization was started at a kitchen table by just regular folks who wanted to help people whose lives were being destroyed by abuse and violence, we have remained dedicated to helping adult and child survivors of domestic violence.
Last year, we provided 15,700 advocacy services including housing, law enforcement, medical, mental health and social services, legal support and employment. We provided over 4,600 nights of safety to people who have been devastated by violence, offering them a safe space to recover, reclaim and rebuild their lives.
Through our legal assistance services, we help to protect survivors and hold abusers accountable for their violent acts. Our social services liaison program helps to ensure survivors have access to state and federal resources they so desperately need. Politically, we advocate for the development and implementation of victim-sensitive laws, policies and procedures across all systems that impact the safety and recovery of survivors of domestic violence. We provide services to those who need us 24/7, removing barriers to safety, healing and economic recovery.
2016 is a very special year for Safe Homes, as we are honoring 30 years of helping people to shed lives devastated by violence. To all who have supported us, we offer our deepest thanks. We look forward to a continued partnership of helping. To those who are new friends, we hope you will take a moment to get to know us a little better. Check out our video showing some of our staff members expressing just how we feel about our supporters, and consider donating to our campaign so we can continue to be there for those that need us most.
