Orbital Boot Camp Scholarship Fund
Team Member: Tina Ye
This summer I took part in Orbital Bootcamp, a 12-week program to help me launch a side project. In the process, it has changed the way I think about my work, my capabilities, and even my life.
I wrote this Medium article by the end of it to share the impact it has had: https://medium.com/@tinabeans/lessons-d460a713e42a
Now Bootcamp is about to launch a 2nd run, and we're raising money to make the program accessible to a wider audience. Below is the official blurb.
Please consider a small donation so that others like me can have this great experience.
The program was a success and so we'd like to do it again.
We're raising a scholarship fund to help qualified students cover the cost of tuition ($4,500 per student).
- 12 weeks of class
- 24/7 access to workspace at Orbital
- One-on-one office hours with instructors
- Critique sessions w/expert advisors
Our goal is to be able to fund at least 50% of the seats, but we need your help to make that happen.
We're particularly looking out for:
- Women and people of color under-represented in technology
- Those working on civic, social, and educational projects
- Or, those with financial need
Tuition covers use of the space, time with instructors and advisors, and other program costs.
All contributors will receive details on how the funds are used. If we're fortunate to raise money above our goal, we'll apply that towards scholarships for future Orbital programs.
